About the event

Welcome to survival training for medical professionals, First Responders, Security Officers, and Educators. 

  • Sunday – Introductions and cooking demonstration, beginning at 10 am then coursework
  • Monday – coursework
  • Tuesday – coursework
  • Wednesday – coursework
  • Thursday – coursework
  • Friday – coursework
  • Saturday – A final meal together, certificate presentation, and an opportunity to participate in the First Shots course with live-fire training for those interested
  • Sunday - Depart

During this course you will participate in:

  • Morning Hikes
  • Wilderness Remote First-Aid Training (Certificates for those who pass testing)
  • Bloodborne Pathogens Training (Certificates for those who pass testing)
  • MOAB Training (certificate for those who pass testing)
  • Foraging and Plant Identification Training
  • Situational Awareness Training
  • Seasonally appropriate warm weather and cold weather skills experiences
  • Navigation Training
  • Training on Camp Setup
  • Training on Camp Hygiene
  • A Firearms overview and safety brief (no live-fire training)
  • Team Building Exercises
  • Fire Building Exercises
  • Campfire Cooking Classes
  • MEALS, WATER, COFFEE, AND TEA ARE PROVIDED

As a part of this course, we provide attendees with onsite camping space including the use of a tent and access to water and outhouse, due to COVID restrictions we will be sanitizing the tents and have asked that everyone bring their own pillow and sleeping bag. If you will be flying and would prefer to ship your gear to us, we can make accommodations for that as well as for shipping your gear back after your stay, reach out to make arrangements. We will have items on the property for purchase should you forget something. For those individuals who are not comfortable sleeping in a tent, there are several hotels, AirBnB's and Cabin Rental locations within 30 minutes drive of our location if you would like more information on those locations, please reach out.

Packing List: – Pillow, Sleeping Bag, duffle or pack bag, 14 pairs of socks, pair of boots, pair of tennis shoes, pair of bathroom shoes (flip flop), 4 pair of pants (more if you do not wear shorts), shorts 2 pair, 10 short-sleeved shirts, 3 sweatshirts, 1 light jacket, 1 heavy jacket, 1 rain jacket, bug spray, hat, sunscreen, 2 light sources (flashlight, headlamp), undergarments 10 sets, toothbrush, hair care supplies, bath supplies, bath towel, washrag/hand towel, prescribed medications, extra pair of prescription glasses (we recommend NOT using contact lenses),

You will be provided with a seasonally appropriate pack list closer to your arrival date. If you would like to attend a training as a group of 10 or more, please reach out to us so that we can set up the camping areas, meals, and exercises to keep your group together.
